The Mattachine Complex

Hello there. I'm Charz Mendoza and you've just stumbled upon my blog. Now, if you love design and if you can relate to my kind of complex, then by all means, read away.

Things didn’t turn out the way they were supposed to, but what can you do? You must take life the way it comes at you and make the best of it.

In My Head

  1. Repaint my room. I’m talking about changing the mess of a color scheme that is apparent in my room. I’m thinking of going with navy blue, black and white. It goes well with the beech and mahogany and all them artefacts I got from travelling around. Very nautical, aye?
  2. Redecorate my bathroom. Since I got home from living alone 6 months ago, I noticed how incoherent and out of place the bathroom looked. The rug is collecting everything dirty. And them candles died some forever ago. Everything needs to go.
  3. Buy a complete set of weights. I stumbled upon this ad from a guy who sells legit weight lifting sets for only P1,000! Not bad for starters. I won’t promise anything. At least I know that the way to a healthy lifestyle ain’t a pocket killer after all.
  4. Buy a new bike. In doing errands, I think it’s more cost-efficient to ride a bike instead of driving a car. It reduces my carbon footprint and thanks to them zoning idiots, I can easily squeeze through residential traffic (seriously, who’d allow someone to build a mall close to the suburbs?).
  5. Upgrade my wardrobe. I NEED new stuff. Like shirts and pants and shoes (and maybe get a bow tie) and cotton sweaters. Before the next year starts, I’d like to see myself looking a bit more sartorial and sharp.
