The Mattachine Complex

When I’m at the grocery store…

I find myself smiling everytime I see a design that not only captures my attention, but also presents a solution. I want to be able to glide through all that imagery and still appreciate the purpose of its creation. Just then will I allow myself to actually buy that lovely piece of organized information and then I walk away satisfied.

To me, anything that fools the eye is just another hard sell strategy, and I am often unimpressed when creativity is executed that way. But then again, the world is not a lost cause… I’m actually quite happy that two bottles made it to my list of really good packaging design. I’d like to see more of these please.
